The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE offers a wide range of engines including a base turbocharged four-cylinder with 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, a powerful twin-turbo six-cylinder engine, and a range of V8 engines.
The GLE 350 is the base model that gets the turbo four-cylinder while the GLE 450 is fitted as standard with a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine producing 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission that translates into an average fuel consumption rating of approximately 11 litres per 100 kilometres. Pretty impressive for such a luxurious SUV that can tow more than 7,000 pounds.
Otherwise, the AMG versions (GLE 53 and GLE 63) offer 429 horsepower and 603 horsepower respectively. The performance is breathtaking, just like the sound of their engines.
